Shakira posted the following message on Twitter.
The 17th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards will be held on November 17th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The 44th Annual American Music Awards are on November 20th at L.A.'s Microsoft Theater.
She was also scheduled to travel to Buenos Aires this week to launch her new perfume Dance. In a short message sent to the Argentinian media, Shakira said "reasons beyond my control" forced her to cancel the event.
As you can imagine, most people are associating her absence with Sasha's health and wondering what's going on.
The 1-year-old was hospitalized for four days in the Spanish city of Barcelona, where the family lives, and nobody has even hinted at the cause.
I hope that she decided to stay home because after the scare she can't fathom to leave them even for a week. Her partner, soccer star Gerard Piqué, is recuperating from an injury on the field and not traveling either.
