Her baby's development

Rosie posted an app screenshot of her baby's development, which is now the size of a lime. She also tweeted, "I can finally work comfortably! After 3 months of yucky I feel good and that's a plus! I love to work."

She almost split from her husband

Rosie and her husband Abel got married in 2011, but one year later she lost her sister Jenni Rivera in a tragic plane accident. She opened up to Univision about how difficult that time was on her marriage. "I didn't want him to see me falling apart. I wanted him to leave. Thank God he never left and he never took it seriously," she said.

In July 2013, Rosie welcomed her daughter Samantha in her car while on her way to give birth. “Thank you God for giving me a healthy, beautiful and strong baby girl. She wasn’t born in water, she wasn’t born in a hospital, she was born in another very special place,” Rivera tweeted.

The story behind her daughter's name

Rosie chose the name Samantha for her daughter because it means "one who always listens." She told People en Español, "We want to raise a wise girl." Her middle name Chay comes from the nickname she had for her sister Jenni Rivera.

She was Jenni's "doll"

Jenni Rivera loved her sister dearly and tweeted her excitement when Rosie was getting married in 2011. In part, she wrote, "She was the only doll I had that my brothers' couldn't burn!"

She reconciled with her brother

Jenni's death in 2012 caused some financial and emotional tension in the Rivera family. After years of public arguments between Rosie and her brother Lupillo, they decided to reconcile in January 2016. "I missed him a lot," she told Hoy.

She overcame sexual abuse

Jenni's daughter Jacqie supported the release of her aunt Rosie's 2016 memoir, My Broken Pieces, in which she wrote about being sexually abused by her older sister's ex-husband Trino Marin. "It was all very traumatic for my family," she told Univision.

Her drama with Chiquis

In 2014, it was confirmed that Chiquis kicked her aunt Rosie out of Jenni Rivera's home. They reportedly had a confrontation over Rosie trying on her late mother's clothing while playing her music. Weird! They exchanged public apologies and are on good terms now.
