Kim Kardashian is eating her placenta + ALL we know about Saint’s birth

I'm really not a holistic person or someone who would have ever considered eating my placenta. Out of all the Kardashian's, I actually thought Kourtney would have soooo done this, but I don't think she did. "I really didn't want the baby blues and thought I can't go wrong with taking a pill made of my own hormones—made by me, for me. I started researching and read about so many moms who felt this same way and said the overall healing process was so much easier," Kim wrote. I get it. I had post-partum depression. It's not fun!

Kim explains: "When I say "eat my placenta," I mean that I'm having it freeze-dried and made into a pill form—not actually fry it like a steak and eat it (which some people do, BTW)." She did it with a Los Angeles company called Placenta Encapsulation. I talked to different companies that offer the service and the prices range from $250 to $400.

Kim Kardashian almost ruined a family meal when she was pregnant with North in 2013, saying she would eat her placenta. It seems that she found the perfect way and she is loving the effects: "I had great results and felt so energized and didn't have any signs of depression! I definitely had to do it again. Every time I take a pill, I feel a surge of energy and feel really healthy and good. I totally recommend it for anyone considering it!"

According to E!, Kim Kardashian and her family left the hospital in a white Land Rover, and is now resting in her mom's house in Calabasas, California.

As expected, after all the details she had provided about her first delivery, the birth of baby Saint was far from easy. TMZ is quoting Kim Kardashian as saying it was the "most painful experience ever."

TMZ adds that after baby Saint was born, the doctors had to work on Kim Kardashian for two extra hours, given her condition of placenta accreta, which is described as a placenta that  grows too deeply into the uterus. Although the Mayo Clinic's recommendation is a C-section in this case, the reality star's doctors allowed her a vaginal delivery as she wanted. Scared of the scar?

Luckily, everything went well. Kim Kardashian gave birth at the Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. It was the same hospital where daughter North and her niece and nephews were born.

According to media reports, Kardashian used The Deluxe Maternity Suites package, which includes parking, deluxe food services for two, and a personal doula. "It is important to note that this deluxe service is not covered by insurance and there are no half-day rates," says the hospital's website. The costs start at $4,000 a night just for occupancy.

A source told People mag that the suite, which has three bedrooms, is now overflowing with gift baskets and flowers. Kim Kardashian wanted it decorated in blue, with lots of blue balloons.

It seems that Kim Kardashian's fears, after her difficult time delivering North, were unfounded. She was able to avoid a C-Section and the baby is so healthy (although he was born three weeks in advance), that has been with her in the suite all the time.

Kanye West received the news of the impending birth while in New York City, where he received the Shoe of the Year prize at Footwear News' 29th Annual Achievement Awards, for his Adidas Yeezy Boost 350s.

E!, the network that broadcasts Keeping Up With The Kardashians, reported that most of the family has already been in to meet the baby.

Kendall was spotted in London Sunday morning, while Kylie spent the weekend in Miami Beach, enjoying the festivities of Art Basel, one of the main art shows in the country.

Scott Disick, despite the unknown status of his relationship with Kourtney, and rapper Tyga, even without Kylie, were seen at the hospital over the weekend.

The family also took the time to visit Lamar Odom, Khloé Kardashian's estranged husband, who is still recuperating after an overdose and stroke back in October 2015.

According to several sources, Kim would like to give the baby the middle name of Robert, to honor her dad, who died of cancer at 59 in 2003. This has not been confirmed. However, we know for sure the first name.
