Move over Mariah Carey and Britney Spears! Jennifer Lopez is coming to Las Vegas. The Boricua pop star officially confirmed her residency after news of American Idol's cancellation. Lopez will be moving to the City of Sin next year to take over a series of live shows at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. In case we had any doubts, this really proves that J.Lo is a workaholic who doesn't like making time to lie around and become a couch potato. I love it! Her reaction to her new adventure was pretty priceless.

Lopez already traveled the world with her twins Max and Emme for her A.K.A tour, so staying in one city should be a piece of cake for them. Lopez spoke to the press about her new project and said, "I'm excited. It's something I've thought about a lot. Just being in one place (and) not having to tour the world as much." Her twins are 7 years old now, so I wonder if they will be home sick and end up missing Los Angeles during the running months of January and February and May and June.
It's going to be an adjustment, but I'm pretty sure these kids are used to traveling and exploring new places. Besides, no matter where they go, you better believe Lopez is going to drag them and make sure the three of them are together.
What I also love is that J.Lo doesn't plan on going wild during her stay. "I get into the clean kind of trouble. I'm not a gambler, and I'm not into the nightlife as much, but I have plans to enjoy myself," she said. No matter what, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas!
