Christina Aguilera talks about what she’s like as a mom & I was not expecting it!

Christina Aguilera is still gushing over motherhood and her 6-month-old baby girl Summer Rain. To me, it seems like having children totally grounded the Latina judge on The Voice. Before 7-year-old Max was born, the songstress was known as Xtina and was shaking her everything as "Dirrty" as possible. It's refreshing to watch her grow and mature. I love what she recently said about raising her kids and what she hopes for little Summer in the future.

As much as the world tries to paint Aguilera as a diva, I think she's just a hardworking woman who isn't around to act like a boss. I can picture Christina rushing home after the cameras cut to make sure she gets quality time with her kids. In an interview with E!, she shared:

I love being at home and cuddling with them in my sweatpants. I learn so much from them, and every day is a new and fun adventure. I couldn't be more lucky to have Max and Summer, they are the lights of my life.

As perfect as her life may seem, Aguilera was raised in an abusive household and has spoken out against domestic violence. She has said in the past that her dad was physically abusive to her mother. I'm sure she wants to make a conscious effort to raise her kids differently. She probably wants to provide a stable and peaceful home for them.

Aguilera revealed that she loves watching Disney movies at home with her kids. She also added, "There are two sides to me, which I like to keep very separate. There is a performing Christina, and then there me as a mom. Its important for me to wear these different hats so I don't bring work home with me." I admire that so much. She wants to dedicate an equal amount of energy to her work and her kids.

I'm sure Summer and Max will grow up admiring their mom greatly. Aguilera revealed what she hopes for her newborn girl. "I want her to know that she always has a voice, that she should never be afraid to speak her mind and that her opinion is valid," she explained. Now that's pretty amazing. Summer is going to be a kickass lady just like her mami when she gets older.
