Eva Mendes calls sleepless nights “Bonding with my little girl”

Finally! Eva Mendes has resurfaced since giving birth to daughter Esmeralda last September 2014 and she looks amazing! The Cuban American actress is one of those rare celebrities that demands privacy and is rarely active on social media, which is pretty refreshing. We still haven't even caught a glimpse of her baby with Ryan Gosling, but I'm hopeful it will happen soon.  What I love is that there's an air of mystery behind Mendes. She keeps her personal life private and that makes it even more alluring when she does decide to share her chismes. Wait until you read what she told Women's Health magazine about motherhood and getting back in shape.

The 41-year-old new mom makes it look easy to drop pregnancy weight! She looks unbelievable! In just a matter of six months, Mendes has dropped back down to her pre-pregnancy weight. She admits that she has never been one to love working out, but has a trainer who helped to kick her back into shape. Her routine includes, "Nothing too heavy, because my muscle bulks up pretty easily. I mix it up with yoga, or sometimes I'll hike with my trainer."

It also didn't hurt that she was conscious about her diet and exercise during pregnancy. Mendes has cut meat out of her diet for the last six years. "This is just what worked for me, it's important to say, but when I cut that out I immediately felt better. And also, after a year of eliminating it, my skin looked brighter and healthier overall," she said. I would never cut out meat from my diet, but judging by Mendes' amazing figure I may just start considering it!

Besides her amazing looks, Mendes also opened up about what life is like with her little one. She's not one to complain about staying up all night, which is pretty sweet. "I'm actually enjoying the sleepless nights because it's bonding with my little girl," she told the magazine. To me, it sounds like motherhood has matured Mendes and made her more relatable.

The best part is that she isn't a preachy mom celebrity who wants to talk about eating organic and how we should raise our own kids. She explains, "I want to respect all the moms out there. They're going to be like, 'You know what? You're a few months in. Just shut up.'" Yes! She has a point there.

Just keep talking to us about your amazing life, Ryancito and your hijita Esmé. Gracias.
