We are almost three months into 2015, but baby name trends have already started popping up. Anything from nature to pop culture can influence the raise in certain baby names. I find it pretty fascinating since names often reflect certain time periods in history and how crazy parents are. The problem with trends is that some of them aren't always good ideas. Some of these baby names are worth loathing and laughing at while others are pretty freaking awesome.

1. Southern vibes: I know Kim Kardashian's daughter baby North probably thinks she's the ultimate trendsetter, but it's all about the south this year. Parents are gravitating towards southern-inspired names like Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee. Apparently west and east just didn't make the trendy baby name cut.
2. Life is a beach: Names inspired by nature have always been in style, but this has proven to be a popular year for beachy baby names like Ocean and Dune. They totally sound like a celeb baby name!
3. Flower power: Floral names are in full bloom. These are a personal favorite since my favorite aunt is named Daisy. Other top contenders this year include Violent, Lily and Iris. They're all so beautiful.
4. Royal and spiritual words:Kourtney Kardashian followed this trend after naming her third son Reign. I find it to be powerful and symbolic. Other popular names include Faith, Saint and Legend. Parents are getting pretty literal about what kind of character they want their child to fill.
5. Tasty and sweet: We can all point to Gwyneth Paltrow for starting this trend. It turns out naming your kid Apple isn't that weird anymore. Parents have been naming their babies food names a lot more now. Kale has been the most popular one so far, but Clementine and Juniper are up there too. Go figure.
