Shakira and her partner Gerard Piqué have tried to keep their second pregnancy more private, but I have all of the details about her baby boy's arrival. The couple named their second son Sasha Piqué Mebarak. Judging by the name, this angel is going to be a heartbreaker just like Milan. The meaning is just so special. The arrival
Little Sasha was born January 29 at 9:54 p.m., in Barcelona. "The hospital confirmed that both mother and child are in excellent health," her site reads. The entire Shaki family must be thrilled!
The baby name
I love the baby name they picked out! Shakira confirmed on her website that her second son's name is Sasha Piqué Mebarak. "The name Sasha is of Greek and Russian descent and means 'defender of mankind' and 'warrior.' " It's so symbolic and special!
It was a family affair
The singer's parents William and Nidia were at the hospital with her alongside Piqué's parents. Shakira's mom and dad have reportedly been in Barcelona for weeks waiting for little Sasha's arrival. How sweet!
Shakira didn't arrive with Gerard
When Shakira entered the hospital at around 7 p.m., she arrived with her brother Antonio. Her partner Gerard didn't arrive until a little later because he was at practice.
The medical care
Shaki gave birth in the clinic Téknon, the same hospital she welcomed her first son Milan. She rented the 3B wing of the hospital, which includes star treatment like a private chef. Her doctor Carlota García Valdecasas made sure to take special care of the star.
Only women allowed
Reportedly, only women were allowed in the actual delivery room with Shakira. According to El Universal, a plastic surgeon was also called in for a little "help." That will make for a quick bounce back!
The cost
Of course her super private hospital stay comes with a hefty price. A baby delivery runs about $11,000 in the Barcelona hospital, but booking an entire wing costs up to 20 times that!
Shakira picked the birthday
Sasha's arrival was scheduled and planned. Since Shakira has a C-section, she picked the 29th and that was the day her second little one was welcomed.

Shakira didn't have a long and grueling baby delivery like most moms! She was admitted at 7 p.m. and baby Sasha was out by 9:54 p.m.! That didn't even take three hours!

Gerard's dad shared a special soccer T-shirt with his grandson's name. So sweet!
A photographer was booked for family photos
According to El Universal, Shakira hired an exclusive photographer to take beautiful family photos of Sasha's first hours in this world. I'm sure Milan was ready to give good face!
