I never thought I would hear attachment parenting and pole dancing in the same sentence! Ashley Wright posted a provocative video pole dancing with her toddler in the same room and many moms aren't quite agreeing with her creative parenting strategy. The self-proclaimed badass yogi and pole dancing mom doesn't seem to care one bit about what anyone has to say either. In fact, she wrote, "No shame in our pole dancing game!" The video just may make you want to pop a blood vessel.

In the video, Mrs. Wright is dancing to Jhene Aiko's "Drinking and Driving" while her little one dances alongside her and wanders in and out of frame. At one point, she kneels and her daughter kisses her back. As much as commenters want to trash this woman for pole dancing and teaching her daughter how to be a stripper, I don't find that's the case at all. Pole dancing is a form of art and is a gym class nowadays. The physical ability you need to pole dance is insane!
I also don't think she doesn't anything overtly sexual in front of her daughter. I actually find it pretty harmless. To me, she's teaching her daughter to feel confident in her own skin and not give a rat's ass what anyone has to say about it. Ashley took to her Facebook page to silence the haters and wrote:
It is no surprise that many are put-off, and even more confused, by this shared display of divine femininity, sensual acceptance, power and open, unapologetic love for self and for my child.
Unfortunately, many did not receive nor have bared witness to this form of love and therefore only see what they can connect with; shame.
I do not expect everyone to understand me nor is my "parenting style" for progression few for most. However, I will continue to share for those who seek the light that dwells within us.
If you do not find comfort, peace, freedom, courage nor love here, then my videos, this message and this movement is not for you. And that is okay.
I totally think she loves posting things for shock value, but I also think she's trying to teach us all an important lesson: to each their own.
