Taking a selfie as a famous mom could be a daunting task. Kim Kardashian posted a new selfie shot, but made sure to crop her daughter North out of the picture before posting it. What was that for? The reality television star has since received so much social media hate. People are questioning her parenting skills and calling her selfish for making sure all eyes are on her. "Really crop out your own kid? You're so annoying as a person and mom," wrote one of the Instagram followers. I know Kim makes it so easy for bashers to go to town about her, but I actually don't think she's in the wrong here.

North isn't the famous one here–her mom is. There are enough paparazzi shots of North hanging around town with her family. Kim even posts cute photos of her every now and then and sometimes makes sure not to show her face. I think Kim's move was to protect her daughter. Sure, everyone knows what she looks like, but I think she's making a conscious effort to make sure she doesn't "over share" pictures of her first born kid.
If you notice, North hardly ever appears on Keeping Up With The Kardashians or their spin-off show Kourtney and Khloe Take The Hamptons. I'm sure Kim and Kanye had a mutual agreement to make sure that North is somewhat protected from the media. With her parents' fame, it's almost impossible for North to grow up anonymous, but at least they aren't throwing her into the fame game.
Why are people questioning her mothering skills because of this? It's a stupid cropped selfie photo. As a mother, I feel like she can share whatever she wants. I would think that it takes more than this to make you a bad mother. Keep taking your selfies, Kim. We aren't judging … that much.
