A mom's got to do what a mom's got to do–and that includes selling breast milk! A British mother of four reportedly started charging for her breast milk and made a nice chunk of change for her supply. Rebecca Hudson put her breast milk up for sale in order to garner enough money for Christmas gifts. What she wasn't expecting was for money to start flowing in by the bottle-full. At first, Hudson tried to donate her milk, but her neighborhood hospital declined. She decided to take her business online and has made almost $5,000 so far!

Since Hudson has a 10-week old named Milly, she was in the perfect condition to offer up some of her goods. The mom claims that her body was producing way more than her daughter was drinking. She was a one-woman breast milk factory and decided to make an extra dime by selling five ounces for $20. "I didn't want to pour it away because it takes a lot of work to produce breast milk. It takes energy and time," she told ITV's This Morning program.
Now, I'm never going to knock a woman's hustle, but it's her clients who seem a little creepy. First, you don't know what kind of breast milk you're buying. This stuff isn't screened or regulated like the stuff you buy in the grocery store. However, I guess she has a drink at your own risk sort of policy.
Her top clients are a chef and a bodybuilder. I mean, clearly new moms don't need this stuff since they are breastfeeding themselves. I can imagine the chef adding breast milk to his dessert custards and not telling anyone there's a stranger's breast milk in there. I'll pass. As far as the bodybuilder? I'm sure he or she is using the leche to get more buff. I mean, we women make some pretty powerful and nutritional milk.
She just landed an amazing side business! This woman's logo should read, "Got breast milk?"
