Go Spanish baby names! Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling's daughter's name has been revealed and it pays homage to her Latina roots. The couple named their first born Esmeralda Amada, reports TMZ. What a beautiful and classic baby name, which means emerald in Spanish. Yes! This gives us even more reason to call Ryan his real nickname: Ryancito! I guess this makes him officially part Latino.

Eva and Ryan have been in hiding since welcoming their baby girl last month. What we do know is that Ryan's family paid the couple a visit just a few days after the Cuban actress gave birth. Previously, an insider revealed to media outlets that Eva and Ryan are "over the moon" about their little baby Esmé (the short version is just as cute!). The source also added, "They literally could not be more excited."
According to E! Online, the baby's abuelas have been on full "help mode," but Ryan and Eva are "getting more comfortable with doing things themselves." It is so cute that the grandparents have been there to help in any way that they can! Well, when you have a Latina grandmother you are one of the luckiest people in the world.
The source revealed, "Eva is so happy she's a mom, their baby girl is perfect. They are at home now with the baby and Eva is feeling great, she says." Mendes is going to be an amazing mom! She must be thrilled about her firstborn.
"She's so good with kids and has been wanting this a really long time. When she found out she was having a girl, she was freaking out. She kind of wanted a girl deep down, but of course just wants a happy and healthy baby," they added. Ay…we bet she looks like a mini Eva or Ryan. There really isn't any losing with those genes!
