Zoe Saldana is just like us! Well, sort of. The 36-year-old mother-to-be isn't shying away from her junk food cravings while pregnant with her first child (photo after the break). The Hollywood actress was snapped enjoying a bag of Doritos while hitting up a Target store in West Hollywood, California. Saldana, who is about four months along, recently confirmed her pregnancy while nominating her husband Marco Perego for the ALS ice bucket challenge. We bet Saldana doesn't get to indulge in junk food that often so she must be loving the chance to do it during her pregnancy.

It is perfectly normal to indulge in junk food while pregnant every now and then, but salty, fatty and greasy snacks should always be consumed in moderation. Since a growing baby relies on the mother for nutrients, it is equally as important to add fresh veggies, fruits, whole grains and protein to your diet. If you can't curb the junk food cravings like Zoe, here are some treats that will satisfy your cravings for the bad stuff without compromising your health.
Soda: Because some varieties contain a large amount of caffeine, soda is unhealthy whether you're pregnant or not. If you have soda cravings, consider sparkling water as a healthy alternative and adding a fresh lemon or lime slice for added flavor.
Cake: This sweet treat is delicious, but should be eaten in moderation during pregnancy. Instead, go for a lighter version like angel food cake topped with your favorite fresh fruit. Homemade rice pudding is also a healthier choice.
Potato chips: We doubt Zoe is the only expectant mom that has a potato chip weakness! Instead of going for processed snacks with little nutritional value, give home-made kale chips a try. Just roast the kale leaves at 400 degrees F and season with salt and pepper. It will satisfy your craving for a crunchy snack while providing healthy nutrients. If you really can't curb the potato chip craving, make sure they're baked instead of fried.
Ice cream: A couple of scoops won't kill you, but some ice cream brands are packed with calories. Go for lighter versions like Smart Ones fudge bars at about 80 calories per serving.
Doughnuts: Yes, they are creamy, yummy and deep-fried. Before reaching for a doughnut for breakfast, try swapping it out for a whole-grain bagel with cream cheese or good old cinnamon toast, which feels like dessert, but has way fewer calories and fat.
