If you thought your sleepless nights as a new mom were bad, can you imagine having to give CPR to your baby 20 times a night? This is a true story! Eight-month-old Phyllisity Ramm suffers from obstructive sleep apnea, which causes her to stop breathing within seconds. Her parents Kylie and Michael Ramm, from the English town of Dereham, have to perform CPR on the toddler every single time she stops breathing. She literally turns blue about 20 times a night due to a lack of air supply.

The Ramms are trying to get a hold of a continuous positive airway pressure machine (CPAP) that would keep the baby's airway open by blowing air into her nose by wearing a mask while she sleeps. This is no easy feat. They are battling with doctors to get the treatment.
"She goes limp and blue within seconds and I have to pick her up straightaway–and if she doesn't start breathing on her own I have to intervene," the mother said to British daily The Mirror.
Phyllisity's parents have lost count of how many times the've had to rush their baby to the hospital. They are trying to raise awareness about the chronic form of sleep apnea. It's hard to even imagine what they're going through on a daily basis. Having to constantly watch over your child to make sure he or she is still breathing and being haunted by the terrifying thought of having your child perhaps die in their sleep must be anguishing.
If the CPAP treatment would help save this little girl's life, I just don't get why this family would be turned down for the machine. A spokesperson at the hospital where Phyllisity is getting treated explained:
We are working closely with the family and the regional specialist center to complete the necessary clinical tests as soon as possible. The results will allow us to offer this young patient the best treatment.
No mother or father should go through this. Hopefully baby Phyllisity will get the treatment she needs before it is too late.
