With all the graphic pictures I see day in and day out on Facebook, it always boggles my mind when I heard of people making a big deal over innocent images. This time North Carolina mom and photographer,Jill White posted a picture of her 2-year-old daughter at the beach which caused her to get banned from the site. Wait until you see the image… Scandalous? Decide for yourself.

The controversial picture shows White's daughter with her back towards the camera, just as her friend, also about the same age, pulls down the child's bathing suit bottom. The only thing that can be seen is a part of the child's exposed butt, which White found funny and thought would be cute to post on Coppertone's Facebook page.
However, some Facebook user didn't see the humor in it and flagged it as nudity and pornography. When the mom refused to take down the picture, the site banned her and her photography page for 24 hours. "I got back on with another photo, this time a big Emoji face on the area of the butt crack," said White. This time Facebook didn't take down the image, but if they had, she would have faced a lifetime ban.
"I am not ashamed in anyway of WHO I AM or what I do," the mom told Today. "I will continue to post and be the person I know I am. I will not let anyone get the best of me and I will always fight for what I believe in." She also thinks the company took things out of context and overreacted. "I would never ever post a pornographic photo. I am anti-porn," she continued. "If Facebook can ban an innocent childhood picture, I would love for them to take a look at everything else on their page that comes through my feeds daily."
I have to agree with this mom because I see plenty of inappropriate posts day in and out on Facebook. I know I wouldn't be offended if I saw such an image on my newsfeed, but for some reason it clearly bothered a user on the site. This is all too similar to the other mom who was banned from Instagram for posting a picture of her toddler revealing her big girl underwear. How ridiculous is that?! You see the Jen Selters and Kim Kardashians of the world posing provocatively on these social media outlets and NO ONE complains. But the moment a mom posts an innocent picture of their child, the world is outraged. It goes to show you the double standard this society follows when they accept an overexposed grown woman but not an innocent child.
