We've been thinking a lot about baby names ever since the Kardashian-Jenner clan welcomed a whole new crop of babies in 2018, and they all were given some rather unique monikers. Kylie Jenner and Khloé Kardashian gave birth to their first babies earlier in the year and shocked the world when they revealed their names. Many people were wondering what inspired them to give their daughters those names.
Kim Kardashian also welcomed her third child with Kanye West via surrogate in January. Since they had previously named their kids North and Saint, we knew they were going to name their daughter something abstract but we have to admit, we never guessed it'd be Chicago West! But then again, they did got super out of the box for the first two, so technically, we should have seen it coming.

With that said, the reality TV stars are far from the only celebs who like naming their kids after random words or places. Jessica Alba, for instance, named her kids, Honor, Haven, and Hayes and all in an effort to stick with H names. Cardi B welcomed her little in 2018, and her name definitely received some mixed reactions from fans–but we have no doubt that the baby girl will become an important part of pop culture as she grows.
It's very typical of celebs to name their kids unconventional names. It's actually become a rare thing in Hollywood to give your kid a "normal" or traditional name. We would imagine naming your child Michael, George or Mary would cause more of a commotion than something completely wild. The crazy name fad hasn't really reached the Latino celeb world quite yet, but we have a feeling that it might start soon enough. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's kids all have cool word names.
The couple named their 4-year-old daughter North West, their 2-year-old son Saint West, and their newborn Chicago West. You have to admit, there’s definitely something to these non-conventional names though.
Cardi B and Offset chose quite an interesting name.
Cardi welcomed her first child in July 2018, and she announced that her name was Kulture Kiari Cephus. She was named after her dad's group Migo's album, Culture.
Khloé Kardashian named her baby True.
There was a great meaning behind it since that was her paternal grandfather's middle name. The child was also born amid news that her father, Tristan Thomspon, was being unfaithful to her mother during her pregnancy. So the name is quite ironic.
While her son's name is Max, Christina Aguilera's daughter was named after a season.
The singer chose Summer Rain for her daughter and although it does sound beautiful, it was totally unexpected.
Kylie Jenner's daughter has quite a creative name.
The makeup mogul and boyfriend Travis Scott named their baby Stormi Webster. "I really don’t know how we thought of Storm. Her dad insisted it was him, but I feel like it was me. And that kind of just stuck with us," Kylie told sister Kim Kardashian in an interview for the Evening Standard. "And then I didn’t really like just Storm — I didn’t feel like that was her name. So then it became Stormi. And it just stuck. I feel like there were a lot of other names that I might have even liked better to be honest, but I feel like Stormi picked her own name, like it was just her name."
Zoe Saldana and her husband Marco Perego’s three sons have the coolest names.
Their 3-year-old twin boys are named Cy and Bowie and their new son who they welcomed in February, was named Zen.
Jessica Alba and her husband, Cash Warren, named all three of their kids names that begin with the letter H.

Beyonce and Jay-Z are all about the unique names.
