Mom gives birth to naturally conceived triplets & you won’t believe her age!

A Miami mom recently got the surprise of a lifetime when she learned she was not only pregnant again, but also expecting triplets.

As we all know, naturally conceived triplets are extremely rare (anywhere from one-in-a-million to one-in-a-hundred-million chance) so getting that news is probably a lot to take in for any mom. But it was especially shocking for Sharon Lewis. Why? Well, you won't believe how old this mom is!

Lewis is 47–an age at which most women find it difficult to naturally conceive at all, let alone conceive multiples. Wow…talk about beating all the odds!

Making the story even more incredible? Lewis, who also has a 25-year-old daughter and 14-year-old son, says she wasn't even trying to get pregnant. When she found out she'd be giving birth to three baby boys, she thought it was impossible. I don't blame her for being stunned!

Of course, Lewis eventually got past the initial shock and now both she and her new bundles of joy are thankfully doing well. She gave birth to the babies in mid-March via C-section. Doctors decided to delivery early, at 30 weeks, because the mom had developed high blood pressure.

Dylan, Denere, and Denard now weigh about four pounds and were discharged from the hospital earlier this week. Lewis told reporters she couldn't wait to bring them home and fortunately, has a lot of family around to help her care for her babies. "This was all a big surprise to me, but it was a wonderful surprise," she said.

Wonderful surprise is right! What an amazingly lucky lady. Welcoming a baby into the family is always such a happy occasion, but having three–even if they weren't exactly expected–is truly a blessing. And I'm glad to hear she'll have a lot of help because I have a feeling she's in for quite a ride! Congrats to the happy mom and her entire family!
