So I have the most exciting news ever! Okay, maybe not the most exciting news ever, but it's definitely pretty darn exciting. So Chelsea Clinton, daughter of former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hilary Clinton is (finally) pregnant! How awesome is that? It's like a royal baby for the states. Chelsea who's pregnant with her first child, recently confirmed the news earlier this afternoon. Woo hoo!

I have to say I was wondering when Chelsea was finally going to get knocked up. Definitely didn't see it coming this year though. So happy for her! "Marc and I are very excited that we have our first child arriving later this year and I certainly feel all the better, whether it's a girl or a boy, that she or he will grow up in a world full of so many strong female leader," she said in during a speech she made today at the Lower Eastside Girls Club in New York City as part of the "No Ceilings Conversation" series.
Chelsea and her husband, Marc Mezvinsky are expecting the baby "later this year" she mentioned. "I just hope that I will be as good a mom to my child and hopefully children as my mom was to me," she added. Aww!! I'm sure she will be.
I can only imagine how excited her parents are especially because they've expressed in the past that they're both ready to be grandparents. "I would like to have a happy wife and she won't be unless she's a grandmother. It's something she wants more than she wanted to be president," Bill Clinton told CBS last year.
I'm super psyched for Chelsea, her husband and her parents who much be in bliss right now. One thing for sure that's going to be one smart baby!
