I could give you a list a mile long of things I could do before having kids that I can no longer do now that I am a mother and someday I will, but right now what I want to share are the things that I can do now that I am a mother, that I couldn't do before having kids. It's true, poppin' babies out and caring for them provided me with some skillz and I must say that I am more than a little proud of them. If you're a mami, I know you will recognize some of these new-found skills.

Oh, and these are just 10 things I can do now that I'm a mom, there are more, but I don't want to over-brag.
- I can sleep on a sliver of bed that is only 4-inches wide without moving because there are nights when both of my kids end up in bed with us.
- I can heal with a chant. My "Sana, sana, colita de rana" really does have magical healing powers, just ask my kids.
- I can hear with freaky accuracy. It doesn't matter where I am or how crowded it is, I can distinguish the sound of my childrens' cries.
- I multitask with what I have on hand. I have discovered the power of my saliva. Yes, it is disgusting, but in a pinch it can be used to clean off my kids' faces or tame their unruly hair. I know, YUCK, but I do it anyway.
- I can be compassionate like never before. I care about all children, not just my own. Even that annoying, problematic kid that won't behave, I worry about him and if he is getting the help and attention he needs.
- I can throw caution to the wind. I don't care if my ass looks big in my jeans. I'm just happy when my jeans aren't stained with puke, poop, or any other bodily fluids.
- I can soothe two people in this world just by holding them close.
- I can make things happen with my tone. My voice can stop children in their tracks.
- I can make a feast out of crackers, bananas, and whatever else happens to be floating around in my purse.
- I can put every single thing aside to help my children when they need me.
I told you, I had mad skillz!
