I hope you're all healthy and happy and gearing up for another magical Christmas! I'm definitely in the holiday spirit these days–especially now that our new addition, baby Antonio, is here to celebrate with us!
So how am I getting ready for Tonito's first Christmas? Read on to find out!

1. The tree! Yesterday, my hubby Antonio (let's call him Antonio Sr., now that we have a baby named Antonio!), brought home a real Christmas tree. It smells SO good! We trimmed and decorated el arbolito with lights and hand-made ornaments from years past.
And when we put up baby Antonio's first Christmas ornament, I couldn't help but think back to my 21-year-old daughter Skye's first Christmas and her first ornament. I can't believe it's been 21 years!
2. Blasted the Christmas music. After we decorated the tree, we put on some holiday tunes to get into the holiday spirit. Baby Antonio's favorite songs? Well, he seemed to like "Feliz Navidad" and "Burrito Sabanero" the most. The kid's got great taste!
3. Heat things up. Next, we decorated the fireplace and got a fire going. ¡Qué rico!
4. Coquito is a must! While we were preparing everything for Toñito's first Christmas, my hubby and I decided we needed to celebrate this beautiful moment with a toast. And we toasted with my famous Puerto Rican coquito! We made a couple of bottles for gifts for our family and friends and we chanted Latino Style__:__ "Para arriba, para abajo, para el centro, ¡para adentro! ¡Salud!"
5. Santa's little helper. Christmas wouldn't be possible without Santa's little helpers and this year my family has been blessed with our own little angel. I got my little one the cutest little Christmas outfit and he looks like the cutest little Santa's helper! Check out the pic above, isn't he adorable?!
This year brought me my second baby and I am the luckiest mamá in the world. Thank you my fellow mamás Latinas for letting me share my experience as a first-year mom with all of you and, more importantly, thank you for reading the blog every week.
I want to wish you all a Feliz Navidad, y un prospero año nuevo. May all of your dreams come true!
