I have a soft spot for dads. Seeing a father lovingly interact with his children gets to me EVERY SINGLE TIME. It could have something to do with the fact that I grew up without my father. I had no idea what I was missing until much later in life. Now that I am a mother and I see my husband interact with my daughters I am overwhelmed with joy. To have a man care about you and dote on you that much as a child is an incredible thing, I'm sure. I'm telling you this because I just watched an Oral-B commercial of all things, called "The Power of Dad" and I'd be lying if I told you I wasn't crying right now because of it.

It's so simple and beautiful. Just dads being wonderful dads. Moments in life where dads are just being present and participating in their children's lives. It honestly makes my heart swell for all the children that get to experience that and it also makes my heart ache for all the children who don't.
The world becomes a better place each and every time that a child is blessed with a wonderful father-figure. I didn't have a father to grow up with, but when I was 18, I met the man that my mother is now married to and he has become my father in spirit. In the years I've known him he has been so loving and supportive and I am better for it, I can't even imagine what it would have been like to have that my entire life. A good father is an immeasurable blessing.
