Parenting is tough, especially when your kids are going through tough times. How do you encourage them to do better? Do you bribe them, threaten them, nag them? Different parents make use of different tactics to mixed results. But what if your kid, who was struggling manages to succeed? How do you react? Do you act all nonchalant or just go berserk? I vote for berserk! Like this father from England when he saw that his son got a passing grade in math. Not an A, not a B, but a C. I have never seen someone so excited to see their child get a C on a report card.

This video was uploaded by YouTube user ariamark on Monday and he explains that the enthusiastic man in the video is his father. He goes on to say that a year before the video was taken he had an F in "maths" and that no one including himself thought that he would be able to raise his grade, but somehow he did manage to raise it to a C.
Obviously, he knew that his father would be pleased by the improvement, so he set up a hidden camera to record his reaction and the father does not disappoint. The proud father is so excited that he even tells his son, "You're set for life now!"
I love the dad's reaction because so many parents wouldn't get that excited about a C. They would look at their child and belittle the accomplishment by saying something like, is that the best you could do? Not this papa, he's happy his kid isn't failing anymore and that is cause for tears, hugs, and celebration.
