In honor of the 44th season of Sesame Street, Jimmy Fallon and The Roots invited a gang of our favorite muppets to snuggle up close and personal in a dressing room for their Late Night show and sing and play the Sesame Street theme song with the aid of classroom instruments. I was surprised at how emotional this beautiful video made me, but I think it is because Sesame Street will always be a special and safe place for me and I find it touching that I'm not the only one who feels that way and now that I am a mother I'm so glad I get to share that place with my children.
I always know how to get to Sesame Street because it lives in my heart. So to Jimmy, The Roots, and my friends at Sesame Street, thank you for taking me there.
