We usually know when our bodies are acting a bit off, especially when it comes to pooping issues. One woman received the shock of a lifetime after thinking she was constipated, only to learn that she was pregnant! The 41-year-old British mom, Amanda Ross, had gone to the doctor to address that she was experiencing stomach cramping and believed she needed medicine for constipation. Instead the doctor gave her a whole new prescription and told her to see a midwife because she was with child.
Little did Ross know that she was seven to eight months pregnant and was 15 hours away from giving birth to a healthy baby girl named Chloe. Holy cow!

The U.K. Mirror explains that Ross and her partner, 53-year-old Paul Dean, were completely blindsided by the pregnancy. Dean already has two adult children from his first marriage and is even a grandfather, but didn't expect to become a father again. In fact, neither he nor Ross had any idea she was pregnant!
"My first reaction when they told me I was pregnant was one of sheer terror," Ross explained to the daily paper. Her fear was also that she didn't feel prepared to take on new parental responsibilities due to her age. She shockingly didn't experience any pregnancy symptoms to alert her of her state. "I had no idea I was expecting – there'd been no flutters, no cravings, no kicking, no morning sickness, no kicking, nothing," Ross said.
The healthy baby was born by C-section. The couple, although happy with their new addition, admits that the news has yet to sink in. Lucky for them, their families have been helping them with buying the items the baby needs.
I don't know how I would react if I went to the doctor for constipation issues only to be told I was pregnant. I mean, I'd like a heads up beforehand at least! I'm glad to hear that the mother and infant are doing well despite the confusion. This will really make for an INTERESTING story to tell little Chloe when she's all grown up. So, next time you think you are having bowel troubles, how about you triple check that it isn't a baby trying to make its way out?
