As a parent, you will do anything for your child if they need help in school, but one French mom took things too far after she was caught taking her teenage daughter's standardized college-entry exam! The 52-year-old mother, only identified as Caroline D., was taking France's the Baccalauréate exam for her 19-year-old unidentified daughter.
Unfortunately, for her daughter, Caroline was caught and is now facing fraud charges and jail. Darn, close but no cigar!

The mother-daughter duo thought they could get away with the crime, but they weren't very bright with their approach. According to French newspaper Le Parisien, Caroline had walked into the testing room trying to blend in with the other students wearing Converse sneakers, low-rise jeans, and heavy makeup.
Reportedly, the exam is taken by people of all ages and is required of all high school students before applying for college. For this reason, Caroline thought she could get away with it … However this wasn't a very well thought-out plan because the proctor knew who her daughter was.
The unidentified teacher recognized the student and had sat in during another one of her other exams. The mom had her daughter's ID on hand which the proctor saw and knew didn't match the person who had shown up to take the test. The Huffington Post says school officials handled the matter very discreetly and let the mother complete the exam before she was arrested. The daughter however, may have to wait five years to retake the test. Wow, so much for trying to trick the system!
One thing is for a parent to be supportive of their kid with their schoolwork, but another is helping them cheat. If it wasn't for that proctor, this student could have gotten away with it. Now her mom faces criminal charges and she has to face the consequences of missing out on college for another five years because of her very stupid move.
