Before you read this story, I must warn you that you are going to see the word "poop" A LOT. Pint-sized rapper, Lil' Poopy, whose real name is, Luie Rivera Jr., is a 10-year-old from Brockton, Massachusetts. He became a YouTube sensation after his music video "Pop that Remix" caused controversy because of how explicit it was.
In the video, Lil' Poopy smacks a woman's behind and raps about adult themes– which has for obvious reasons left many people concerned. But his father, Luie Rivera Sr. defends his son's actions and says it's all "acting". However, police took the matter much more seriously and referred the case to the state Department of Children and Families. Wait till you hear what happened next!

Poopy isn't like your average 10-year-old. According to ABC News, he's already appeared in a video with rapper P. Diddy and was actually flown down to Miami to be a part of it. The problem is that a lot of the topics he writes and raps about are too adult for his age. Take for example this verse: "I do it hard, I do it big, I do it times three. You might catch me with two or three mommies, bad hotties, super bad body." Even I'm floored that this was made up by him!
After his video went viral last February, police investigated Lil' Poopy's father, fearing the boy was in danger. His lawyer defends his actions and says the video is nothing more than a spoof on hip-hop culture. During an interview with ABC News, the father says he would let his son do another video, but his mom who is no longer with Poopy's father, is against the idea.
Poopy insists that the videos are all in good fun and that he's a regular kid. But family friend and videographer Brian Slay was pulled over past midnight this May for allegedly driving under the influence of drugs and carrying the 10-year-old as a passenger in the car. This led to another investigation by the Department of Children and Families and upset the elder Rivera who says that they were just out to get them. Oh, but guess what? Poopy's dad was recently arrested for an outstanding battery warrant and for possession of marijuana, which he says he was cleared of.
Rivera says that Poopy is now only allowed to stay out late if he is with him, but not in the supervision of anyone else. Despite all this drama, Rivera is ignoring the haters and says he plans on hiring a music manager and publicist for Lil' Poopy. Man, what a poop show!
Lil' Poopy's dad must be ignorant because the average 10-year-old nowadays knows A LOT more than they should. By allowing him to take part in the frivolous entertainment world, he's just setting his son up to be the next troubled child star. I feel in this case, Lil' Poopy's mom needs to get more involved and put her foot down. After all, he's her kid too!
