I still can't believe it, but my baby is turning 1 year old! He has grown up so fast, and before we knew it, my husband and I realized that we needed LOTS of items to prep for his next year of life. This is a whole new stage of his life, and even though I can totally relate to the dad who started the "Why my son is crying" Tumblr (no seriously, don't let the photo decieve you, he cries about EVERYTHING these days!) I'm really looking forward to the toddler phase.

So we headed to our local Target, which has a HUGE baby sale going on right now, with Sebastian in tow, and documented our shopping trip for all you moms who might be in the same place we are. Hopefully some of our ideas will help you prep if your little one is going to be a toddler soon too!
*Full disclosure: Target was kind enough to send me to their Baby Sale with a $500 gift card, so our growing baby's needs wouldn't catch us by surprise.

Car seat

The baby car seat we were using since he was a newborn was already making Sebas break into tears each time we put him in it. The new one we got, the Evenflo SureRide DLX 65, is big, so we can still use it rear-facing, but at least our little guy loves how spacious it is (just look how happy he looks in the pic above!).
Big boy snacks

Sebas loves to eat little cookies and puffs, and they’re great training for him to eat on his own later on. The Little Puffs from Up & Up are affordable and actually yummier than the leading brand puffs.
Umbrella stroller

For just $20 we got this awesome umbrella stroller from Cosco, which will make it so much easier to go for walks with Sebas now that the weather is getting nicer and he’s older!
Supply of bigger tees

Potty!

It's time to start training soon! Sebastian really wanted the bright green potty, but his dad and I opted for the Arm & Hammer 3-in-1 Potty Seat that has baking soda odor control AND turns into a step stool when he's older.
Bath toys...and other toys

Bathtime is sort of a thing now, and it's hard to get an 11-month-old to cooperate sometimes (especially if he's tired), but bath toys help us get him on board with his baths. We got some cute Foam Bath Learning Toys (letters and numbers) and a 10-pack of Squirtin Sea Buddies, both from Munchkin.
Sun hat!

Now that Sebas is older, we can finally take advantage of the summer coming up, and we're super excited to do so. We got him some cute Circo swimming trunks, rash guard, and the cutest ever sun hat–perfect for louning on the beach or by his tía's pool come warmer weather.
