The Kardashian family__ seems to be getting bigger and bigger these days. Kourtney Kardashian already has two kids and Kim is expecting her first baby with boyfriend Kanye West. But their younger sister Khloé, who has been married for about 3 years with Lamar Odom, can't seem to get pregnant. She may not have to worry for long, though, because Kourtney has volunteered to be Khloe's surrogate mother. That's what I call sisterly love!

On Sunday night's episode of Kourtney & Kim Take Miami, Khloé opened up to her friends and family about her struggle to conceive, an issue many women can relate to these days. "I found out I don't ovulate and my uterus lining isn't thick enough and I have to take pills to make my uterus thicker, and if that doesn't get thicker I cannot carry a baby, " she sadly confessed.
Kourtney started to feel incredibly sad after hearing about her sister's heartbreaking struggle with infertility. Kim then came up with the idea that Kourtney could be Khloé's surrogate mother. At first Kourtney wasn't so fond of the idea, but later gave it some thought and even suggested the idea to her baby daddy and longtime boyfriend, Scott Disick.
Believe it or not, infertility in your 20s is something that has become relatively commonplace. The most common conditions are endometriosis (when tissue is found in the uterine lining and grows outside of the uterus), ovulation problems, which can prevent eggs from maturely developing in the ovaries, and polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), a condition that doesn't allow the small follicles in your ovaries to develop into large, mature follicles that are meant to release eggs.
It's hard enough for women to have to come to terms with their fertility problems, let alone have to worry about considering a surrogate mother, so I can only imagine how moved Khloé must have been after her sister offered to become her gestational surrogate. This is literally one of the most selfless things a sibling can do. Unlike most surrogates, Kourtney probably won't be getting any money out of carrying her sister's baby. She'd only be doing it to give Khloé a chance at a family and that's honestly the best gift anyone could give.
