Jersey Shore* star and mommy Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi was so excited about her baby Lorenzo's baptism on Sunday, she even let all her fans in on the big day by posting pictures of the meaningful event via Twitter. Isn't that cute? The baptism was not only a big deal for the baby, but clearly extremely important for both Snooki and her fiancé, Jionni Lavalle, who couldn't be prouder!

While there were no photos taken of Lorenzo's actual baptism, Snooki did post up plenty of pictures of the reception along with one that showed off her incredible post-baby bod. The 25-year-old mom wore a stunning, royal-blue floor-length dress that really showed off the 44 lbs. she recently lost. The photo of her and her hubby was titled, "Proud parents today."
But Snooki and Jionni weren't the only ones unable to contain their happiness on Sunday. Godmother, Jenni "JWOww" Farely was just as psyched. "My precious godbaby" she captioned the adorable picture she posted on Instagram of her bottle feeding Lorenzo. Awwww!
A child's baptism is a sacred experience most Latinas can absolutely relate to. For us, a baptism isn't just a religious ceremony, it's a cultural tradition. The baby's godparents aren't just supposed to be people that guide our children in the right spiritual direction, but they're people we love and ultimately trust to be a part of our family. It's a truly special time of celebration for the baby, the parents, the padrino (godfather), and madrina (godmother).
I only wish that Snooki would have posted a few more pics of the baby and of the actual ceremony. I guess she just wanted to keep the scared parts of the event private, understandably.
And it looks like she's really enjoying her mommy duties because she's not only thinking about having more kids, but she's also been working on a book about pregnancy that she recently spoke about on a CNN morning segment. Good for her!
