Oh Fergie, of the gorgeous gams and hunky husband (Josh Duhamel), it is so comforting to know that despite appearing to have superpowers while on stage with the Black Eyed Peas, you are really just a mere mortal. "I have no idea what I'm doing," Fergie said. Obviously, Fergie and Josh are thrilled about the impending birth of their child and as soon-to-be new parents, they are a bit nervous. It's normal, it's natural, and I love Fergie's candor. Really, no one knows what they are doing as parents until they actually start doing it. I don't care how many books you read or how much you babysat or if you were the eldest taking care of all your brothers and sisters–until you are actually parenting, you don't know what you are doing. It is our children who teach us how to become parents.
Oh Fergie, I had no idea we had so much in common! At 37, you are about to become a fisrt-time mom. I became a first-time mom at 37! You have a gorgeous husband. My husband is pretty hot, if I do say so myself. You have no idea what you are doing as a new parent. I had no idea what I was doing, either. See, it's like we're twinsies, but you can sing and dance much better than I can.
Fergie, I wish you and your family all the best. Trust your instincts and lead with love. You were right when you said, "I'm just going to play it by ear and see how things go, and let the natural instincts kick in."
