Talk about a crazy coincidence! In an amazing turn of events, two 19-year-old twin moms from Ohio gave birth to their babies on the same day…just a few hours apart!
Teen siblings Aimee and Ashlee Nelson were due to give birth about a week apart, timing that most would've considered close enough. But in a weird twist of fate, both ended up going into labor earlier this week and delivered their babies just two hours apart. And to make the entire situation seem even more cosmically aligned? The whole thing went down on Monday, which was New Year's Eve!
Aimee's son, Donavyn Scott Bratten, was born just after noon on the last day of 2012 at 7 pounds and 2.5 ounces. Meanwhile, Ashlee's son, Aiden Lee Alan Dilts, was born at 2 p.m. at 8 pounds and 12 ounces.
"The hospital staff said they've never had such a situation," Aimee and Ashlee's aunt, Jennifer Nelson, told KSLA.

I'm not surprised–it's strange enough that this even happened once! That must have been one hectic day for the family. Can you imagine giving birth basically alongside your twin sister? I can't decide if that would be comforting or even more stressful. I mean, I know people say that twins have a special connection, but this seems like something straight out of a movie.
Still, I'm just glad that everything turned out well and that both new moms and their babies are healthy. At least, they have one great story to tell their little boys–who I'm sure are going to grow up to be super close, just like their moms!
