Like most parents-to-be, it seems like Shakira and her boyfriend Gerard Piqué are doing their best to keep their baby's name under wraps. It took the Colombian singer months to confirm her rumored pregnancy was true and not long after we wondered whether she would be having a boy or a girl and as it turns out, it's a boy! But now the big question is: what is his name going to be?!
There have already been rumors going around that the couple plans on calling him Ulises, but now there is word that his name could possibly be Biel! Ah! I can't take the confusion!
As exciting as this Shakira baby watch is to me, I really hope she doesn't call him Biel. Not to say Ulises is all that great either, but I'd rather wait and see until she and Gerard officially announce it as they have with the pregnancy. Puerto Rican daily El Nuevo Día said that Gerard was the one who chose the name Biel–short for Gabriel. That makes a lot more sense than simply Biel!

The name Ulises originally was thought to be a choice after Shakira made an appearance on German television and revealed that she was having a boy. For now we can just guess that both of these are possibilities for her bundle of joy, but it's best that we wait until she and Gerard publicly announce the official name.
After all, I can understand why they would want to keep it hush-hush, especially if they don't want everyone trying to convince them to name him something other than what they already chose. Regardless, we only wish the couple a happy and healthy baby boy…but we still can't wait to find out his name!
