Anyone who knows me would tell you that I have absolutely no problem with tattoos. Although I was 24 when I got my first one, I now have a large one on my back and I'm honestly planning to get more down the line. Despite my appreciation for body art, though, there is one thing that I am very vehemently against: tattoos on children. Okay, so I admit that the tattoo is kind of sweet. Fútbol star David Beckham got his daughter's name, Harper, tattooed at the bottom of his neck last year and now Romeo is following suit. It's kind of adorable that the boy would want to put his sister's name on him, but it's also kind of disturbing that he would want to get a tattoo so young!
I get that the ink is fake and will wash off in a few days, but I still think it's weird for the parents to let their kid to do this. Granted, I remember having fake tattoos when I was younger but that wasn't until I was a teenager.

At 10 years old, I can't imagine realizing what a tattoo–even a fake one–really means. And, worst of all, seeing how easy it is to put on and remove a fake tattoo might only encourage me to get a real one down the line. I sincerely hope that David and Victoria Beckham had a serious talk with their son about what it means to have a tattoo, because it can be fun but it's a BIG responsibility, too. And I just don't think a 10-year-old can ever understand that.
