If you are a mom using a baby bather by the brand Summer Infant, I advise you to call the company NOW. The Consumer Product Safety Commission is recalling more than 2 million of their baby baths due to injuries suffered by a handful of babies. One infant even wound up with bleeding on the brain and had to be hospitalized in intensive care.
This is really disturbing because mothers are likely using this device on a regular basis and thinking it's safe. I don't understand how a brand that makes baby products could be so careless and sell a product this faulty without triple checking it before it gets shipped to store shelves. I would expect that any item that you buy for an infant would be extra safe, but that would be too logical.
Summer Infant baby baths recall is related to the wire frames, which can easily become unhinged, causing the child to fall out as a result. If you are in possession of one of these lethal items, you should look out for these TWO models: The baths with two positions and three positions that have animal patterns and bases that come in blue or pink.
