1. My Homework:This free app allows students and parents to keep track of class schedules, assignments, and upcoming projects so that you or you child will never forget a field trip or deadline again. The best part? It syncs with your desktop and iPhone so all your gadgets are up to date!

2. Stack the Countries-– Perfect for younger kids, this app allows you to learn country capitals, landmarks, geography and more through games. For only $1.99, it also provides 193 country flash cards and colorful interactive maps of the continents.

3. Dictionary.com: I think you should have this app even if you're not a student, especially since it's free! It brings an entire dictionary/thesaurus on your phone and includes fun features like "Word of the Day."

4. Course Smart: Is one of your children heading to college? Have them download this free app, which allows users to see more than 7,000 full textbooks on their  iPhone. The books expire after 180 days and I wouldn't necessarily recommend using it if you're planning on reading for an extended period of time, but you'll definitely be saving a lot of money.

5. Graphing Calculator: Those TI graphing calculators are expensive, especially considering there are always new models! This app is free and allows users to use the expanded scientific calculator and graph multiple equations. And you can also e-mail the results!

6. LetterSchool: If your kids are still learning to write letters and numbers, this app is perfect to help them in the process. Though it costs $2.99, it's easy to use and fun to play games have gotten rave reviews from parents and teachers.

7. gFlashPro: This amazingly useful app allows you to use Google Spreadsheet or Microsoft Excel to flash cards, which can include sound clips or even YouTube videos. Users can also share and dowload cards with friends. There's a free version, but to avoid constant ads, you can buy the app for $3.99.
