My kids drive me crazy all the time. They're the loves of my life, but sometimes their constant bickering and tantrums make me want to run away and never come back. While, on occasion, I've had to leave the room before I lose my cool–the thought of harming them in any way, shape or form has never EVER crossed my mind. That's why news of a Russian mom throwing her two children off a 15th floor window had me in tears.
It's obvious that this woman is sick in the head because otherwise there is absolutely no explanation for her criminal behavior.

Galina Ryabkova apparently told police that she was "fed up with the children" and that's why she "decided to get rid of them." The kids were 4 and 7 years old. Just a little bit older than my own two children.
Little is known about what could have prompted this mom to commit such a heinous crime, but there is speculation that she suspected her husband was having an affair and also that they were having financial difficulties. Either way, neither one of those are reasons to do what she did.
Although I'm no psychologist, the fact that Ryabkova was pretty calm after the incident and showed no emotion seems to speak volumes about her mental state. Plus, she told police that nobody needed her and that her children were now "angels in heaven."

The 30-year-old mom will be sent to a psychiatric hospital for evaluation and if convicted could spend the rest of her life in prison. Sadly, that's seems to be the only place where she really belongs.
