Oh my god, I'm SO angry right now. Remember the debate that broke out over the two military moms who got photographed while breastfeeding? Well apparently, people still haven't gotten over it because Crystal Scott, the woman who organized the photo shoot, says she's been fired at her job as an x-ray technician due to all of the controversy.
Seriously?! How is that at all fair? Scott is also the program director for Mom2Mom, a Washington State-based group that advocates breastfeeding. She organized the photos of the two female soldiers and their babies as part of a national breastfeeding campaign. Now, she's facing the consequences.

"I was doing something for the good of people," she said to The FW. "I feel like our organization is making positive changes for women all over the world. To be punished for something that was good was unfortunate."
I completely agree with Scott! I don't understand–what exactly is the logic behind her firing? I mean, some people might have not approved of the photos, but that doesn't mean that Scott did anything wrong by setting them up.

If anything, people should be praising Scott for bringing attention to the ridiculous criticism that all moms, but particularly military moms, have to face when it comes to raising their children. Breastfeeding is an individual choice that every mother has to make for herself. So why should Scott, or anyone else for that matter, have to defend the choices they make about their own kids? And more importantly, why are they being punished for their beliefs?
