‘Dancing with the Stars’ champ J.R. Martinez can’t wait to samba dance with his daughter!

Looks like baby's going to need a good pair of dancing shoes! Dancing with the Stars champion J.R. Martinez can't wait to pass on his winning moves to the daughter he and girlfriend Diana Gonzalez-Jones are expecting in May.  At the couple's baby shower on Saturday, the 28-year-old confessed that teaching his kid to dance is one part of fatherhood that he's really looking forward to.

Though the duo received plenty of gifts–including a new bassinet and stroller and pink clothes perfect for a little girl–there was one present that thrilled Martinez the most. "We are really excited to see her wear all of the clothes she received, especially the dance dress that I can picture myself teaching her the samba in," the 28-year-old told People.

Aww!! How adorable is that? Can't you just picture Martinez twirling a little girl in a pink dress? I feel like he's going to be such a fun, amazing dad, especially given how good-humored and cheery he is! Maybe his daughter will also inherit his prized mirror-ball trophy? I bet it would look great in the nursery!

I especially love that he's passing on a part of his Latin roots through dance. After all, dancing with your dad is such a big deal in the Hispanic culture! It's part of the bonding that makes Latino families so close.

I know at my family parties, there is always dancing and I can usually expect to get pulled up on the floor (aka the living room) by my dad. Since my mom is typically helping out in the kitchen or talking to my aunts–at least at the beginning of the night–he relies on me. And though I normally try to resist and roll my eyes (I mean, come on Dad, can't I at least finish my dinner?!), I always end up having a good time. But shh–don't tell him I said so!
