Wilmer Valderrama’s baby girl, Nakano Oceana: Her cutest photos

Wilmer Valderrama and his fiancée Amanda Pacheco became parents for the first time on February 15, 2021 and they’ve been kind enough to share pictures of their darling little girl with all of us via social media. Her name is Nakano Oceana Valderrama. Her name was inspired by a trip that Wilmer and Amanda took to Japan. It was a particularly special trip because it was the first time they said “I love you” to each other. Their daughter’s name Nakano was inspired by the legend of a female samurai named Takeko Nakano.

"Nakano became something that felt strong, felt unique, felt different," Wilmer explained in an interview. "I thought what a cool, fun little conversation topic for our daughter to have as she grows older. But also, the respect and the heritage, and the tribute to one of those beautiful moments where my fiancée and I said 'I love you' for the first time.” As for the baby’s middle name, Oceana, that was inspired by Amanda’s love of marine life and the fact that she is a divemaster. It’s a beautiful name for a beautiful baby. And now, enjoy these wonderful pictures of Miss Nakano Oceana!

Looks like Amanda has a nickname for Nakano!

On September 12, 2021, Amanda shared a series of pictures featuring Nakano. “Nakachuky you’re a wild one, but here’s the good news you’re not alone ,” she wrote. What do you think of Nakachuky as a nickname?

Oh, the things that Nakano has seen.

Her parents took her to Nights of the Jack, which is billed as “an immersive Halloween experience.” The “experience” happens in the mountains of Santa Monica, California, and includes a walking trail and lots and lots of jack-o'-lanterns.

On the evening of the 2021 Emmys, the best part happened before the show for this new papa!

You would think that presenting at the 2021 Emmys would be the highlight of the evening for Wilmer. But no! He wrote:

My family seeing me off to present at the #Emmys2021.. It’s more than a dream, this is my biggest moment of the night. Thank you @televisionacad for this life memory. And to my beautiful gals, Daddy is coming right back…

Amanda commemorated Nakano turning 6 months old.

Amanda shared a few things about Nakano at 6 months old:

Sweet 6 months Nakano! I love celebrating you happy girl ☀️
Loves…
making alarming choking noises
bath time
eating her feet
Marrok lick attacks
Dislikes…
Her hair being touched.
Sunglasses.
daddy’s facial hair.

Looks like Wilmer is really taking to daddy-hood.

It is a beautiful thing to see new parents savoring the process. We realize that being parents to a newborn is not easy and probably the most exhausting thing any human will ever do, but it’s truly an amazing experience that goes by so quickly.

Wilmer gave Nakano a nickname right away.

Wilmer made sure to get some baby love in before the 2021 Emmys. He shared a sweet pic of himself and his daughter and wrote:

Pre Show snuggles with my Chukichuki Nakano.. historically recording this so you never forget Daddy was very cool way back when. #Emmys2021

This is Nakano at 5 months.

She looks so ridiculously cute with that bow in her hair and check out those rolls on her arms! Love everything about this picture. “Nakano is 5 months today and I could not help but share this one with you that she so effortlessly posed herself You are too perfect mi preciosa, we’re so in love with you!” her mama wrote.

Amanda looked lovely on her first Mother’s Day.

Wilmer wrote:

Nakano is growing up with a pet.

“This one is out to our guardian angel @sirmarrokvalderrama , always watching and ready to protect our little family. Love you my boy,” Wilmer wrote on April 11, 2021. Look at how tiny Nakano is in the video. She’s itty bitty!

Baby’s first Easter!

Wilmer and Amanda are clearly head over heels in love with their darling daughter. How could they not be? When the That ‘70s Show actor shared pics of their first Easter as a family of three, he wrote:

You came into our lives as our little miracle, making your mother and I living under a brighter sky!.. happy first Easter my sweet @nakanovalderrama, te amo por vida.

Mother and daughter in plaid!

These two look like they are being kissed by the sun and we can’t blame the sun for wanting to cover them in smooches. They look so cute in plaid dresses. “On Saturdays we wear plaid,” Amanda captioned photos of herself and Nakano shared on March 27, 2021.

Mother and daughter bonding.

“Eye love being your mama ❤️,” Amanda wrote when she shared a picture of herself and Nakano looking into the camera. Doesn’t Amanda looked utterly blissed out and overflowing with love?

Amanda shared why her daughter’s name is significant.

On March 15, she wrote:

ONE month ago today we welcomed

Into the world. I’m so excited to finally share her name with you all. Her name reminds me of the beautiful journey her father and I took that ultimately led us to have this extraordinary human in our arms today.

Guess how much the baby weighed at birth?

On March 15, Wilmer shared that Nakano weighed 6.6 lbs. when she was born at 4:04 p.m. on February 15, 2021. He also thanked People for “helping share the meaning behind her name.”
