To recap, Selena, 32, and Benny, 36, went public with their romance in December 2023. Behind the scenes, however, they had been dating since that summer. Let’s take a closer look at the impressive diamond the “Lose You to Love Me” songstress is now sporting on her left ring finger.
Selena Gomez showed off her engagement ring in new photos more than a week after Benny proposed.
On December 19, Selena posted a new photo of her engagement ring to her Instagram Story. The snapshot was a mirror selfie that showed off her massive marquise diamond. Selena smiled while holding her phone with her left hand, prominently displaying the ring in the shot.
In a video clip, she offered a closer glimpse in the sunlight.
In another segment of her IG Story, Selena posted a video clip of her engagement ring. She slowly rotated her hand while outside so that the sun made it truly sparkle.
“Sorry last post,” Selena wrote in overlain text. “…I’ve just dreamed of this moment my whole life.”
Fans reacted to the new picture and video of the ring.
In the comments of a TikTok post featuring Selena’s ring updates, fans expressed their excitement for the Only Murders in the Building star.
One wrote: “She shouldn’t have to even apologise. SHOW THAT RING honey!! You deserve it.”
Someone else echoed: “As she should!!!! Selena no need to explain herself anymore, she deserves to be happy.”

On December 11, 2024, Selena and Benny announced their engagement.
Selena shocked and thrilled fans on December 11 with an Instagram post announcing her and Benny’s engagement. “forever begins now..,” she declared in her update. The featured image showed her hand with her diamond engagement ring, followed by a photo of Selena smiling while sitting on a blanket for a Taco Bell picnic. Also in the carousel of snaps was a shot of Benny embracing her as they sat on the floor and she flashed her engagement ring.
In the comments, Benny adorably wrote, “hey wait… that’s my wife.”
Benny reposted the announcement a few days later.
Benny didn’t post on his Instagram grid when Selena did. However, he shared her post to his Instagram Story on December 18.
“Still can’t believe it!” the music producer exclaimed in the update, per Us Weekly.
Additionally, he posted a video from the proposal to his Instagram grid.
On December 14, Benny took to Instagram with a video from his and Selena’s engagement. The clip showed Selena glowing with happiness while holding a glass of wine and with the ring on *that* finger. Fittingly, her song “Good for You” played in the background.
“🥹😍😍 Chuck and Selena 4life,” Benny captioned the update.
Neither Selena nor Benny has shared details about a wedding date, but fans are clearly over the moon for the couple and can’t wait to learn more. Congrats, again!
