Rihanna and A$AP Rocky welcomed their first child, a little boy, on May 13, 2022. This was just a few short months after they had gone public with the news that Rihanna was even pregnant, with a images from a photo shoot they shared in January 2022. Once the baby was born, fans naturally wanted to see pictures and videos of him. Rihanna, however, was in no hurry to share. It wasn’t until December 2022 that she felt forced to share a video of her baby.

I say “forced” because it wasn’t planned and only happened after RiRi saw that a paparazzo was snapping unauthorized photos of her child. Naturally, she got all mama bear and wanted to control the narrative of how her baby was introduced to the public instead of letting a stranger profit off of pictures she did not consent to. Since then, Rihanna—currently pregnant with her second child—has shared more videos of her darling little boy and they could not be cuter. A$AP is already setting a loving example for his first-born.
A$AP has no problem being loving, affectionate, and supportive to Rihanna in public and it is such a beautiful thing to see. The way he is modeling that behavior for his son is just so heartwarming.
They are such an adorable family.
On RZA's first birthday, papa A$AP shared a carousel on Instagram starring the birthday boy and wrote: "“WU TANG IZ 4 DA CHUREN ” HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY TO MY 1st BORN . RZA❤️" The baby boy was named after RZA, one of the members of the Wu-Tang Clan.
This photo of Rihanna's son plotting to catch the Easter bunny is hands-down the cutest.
On April 11, Rihanna shared evidence from what is quite possibly the most adorable photo shoot with her son yet. Her baby boy is seated in a grassy area wearing nothing but a diaper and a necklace and "reading" a book titled, How to Catch the Easter Bunny. In the post, her little guy is pointing off-screen while surrounded by baskets, eggs, and both real and stuffed bunnies. (Cue: Awww!)
We're also partial to this photo of him 'eating' an Easter egg.
In another series of shots from her adorable Easter photo shoot, Rihanna's son seemingly caught the Easter bunny and celebrated his victory by attempting to shove an entire colored egg into his mouth at once. "Eastuh!!!" the doting mama captioned her Instagram post. Later on in the carousel, RiRi took the cuteness level up another notch by also having him wear bunny ears. (As if he couldn't get more precious!)
This all-too-relatable clip of her son not allowing her to get in a workout.
On April 1, Rihanna posted a video to her Instagram grid that likely resonated with many parents. "Look who don’t want mommy to workout ♀️," she captioned a video of herself holding her son while a Cocomelon song played in the background. "Please!" she jokingly told her son, who presumably wouldn't allow his mama to exercise and instead insisted that she hold him.
Is that jealousy we spy?
Rihanna posted a carousel on Instagram ahead of her performance at the Academy Awards and captioned it: “my son when he found out his sibling is going to the Oscars and not him.” He does look kind of grouchy in the opening pic.
Baby appears to be a fan of mom’s music.
In this video, he happily bounces on his famous mom’s lap while watching the video to her song “Lift Me Up” from the Wakanda Forever soundtrack. Baby seems to be enjoying himself while watching and bopping along.
Arriving at Fashion Week.
Rihanna and baby arrived at Malpensa Airport in Milan for Fashion Week in February 2023. They both looked casually chic in their travel attire. Baby wore a cuddly hooded teddy and mom wore a black beanie and jacket with shades.
Rihanna didn’t even know she was pregnant in this picture.
There she is staring down the camera while her infant sleeps peacefully in a bassinet, but little did she know her second child was already on the way. “When she posed with her son for their #BritishVogue shoot, @BadGalRiri had no idea she was already pregnant with baby number two,” the magazine shared via its Instagram account.
Do you see the resemblance?
I mean, he’s still little, but doesn’t he look a lot like his mom in this picture? You can also definitely see a resemblance to his daddy. He’s got a bit of both going on and it will be so much fun to see him grow up through the years.
Now that she’s a mom, maybe she’ll start making clothes for kids.
“Rihanna and @ASAPRocky have taken to dressing their son in custom pieces, such as a tartan kilt worn over jeans Riri ripped a hole in herself. (A$AP has a matching look.) ‘I like to push it. I put him in floral stuff. I put him in hot pink. I love that. I think that fluidity in fashion is best,’” British Vogue wrote.
RiRi was quite impressed with her son’s posing skills.
“You are giving poses,” Rihanna told her firstborn as the cameras clicked away during his first professional photo shoot. Look at him doing the classic baby holding feet pose while turning his head so the camera can capture that lovely face of his.

This cover is so beautiful. One day when the kids are all grown, they’ll get to look at it and treasure it. I love that A$AP is holding pregnant Rihanna’s hand and kissing their firstborn. It’s a beautiful tribute to their connection.

It was a family affair with RiRi, A$AP, baby boy, and even baby in RiRi’s belly. So sweet to see how everyone was doting on the baby and how happy and loved he seemed throughout. It’s also aww-inducing to see Rihanna interacting with him and kissing his little foot.

She captioned it “hacked” because she felt forced to share it after she spied a paparazzo trying to get pics of the baby during the Vogue photo shoot. She didn’t want that person to be the one to introduce the baby to the world, so she took matters into her own hands by joining TikTok and posting this video.
And Riri is not shy about showering A$AP with love either.
The love, respect, and admiration goes both ways because Rihanna is not shy about planting a kiss on her love's cheek in public. Love should be normalized and their children get to grow up seeing affection as the norm. The world will be better for it. A little respectful PDA never hurt anyone, after all.
