The "Shake It Off" songstress has continues to captivate audiences well into 2024. Recently, she performed two shows in Madrid, on May 29 and May 30. Instead of a funny/empowering moment going viral from the concerts, however, a mystery shadow figure has stolen the spotlight.

Recently, video footage emerged of an eerie figure from night two of Taylor's Madrid Eras Tour stop. A clip shared widely on social media shows a mysterious shadow figure standing in a lighted room at the top of the Estadio Santiago Stadium. Taylor sang "Delicate" from her 2017 album, Reputation as a camera zoomed in on the person.
Swifties have speculated and joked about who the shadow figure might be.
In the comments of the clip shared via X (formerly Twitter), Swifties weighed in on the identity of the mystery person.
One person joked, "Aliens watching."
Another X user wrote, "It's peter pan or peter parker not sure."
Meanwhile, someone else declared, "Thats just batman without his costume vibing."
Yet another fan joked, "The Man," referencing the pop star's song of the same name.
Still others offered more realistic theories.
One person suggested, "It could be the tech people that does the lights and stuff," while another shared, "It was literally a security man, i was near to that section and he was standing there and checking on us all the time."
Others joked the shadowy figure could be Joe Alwyn.
Taylor dated actor Joe Alwyn from 2016 to 2023, and many fans wondered if the figure could have been her ex low-key attending the concert.
One X user suggested, "Joe Alwyn hiding in the rafters."
Another fan wrote, "That’s Joe Alwyn," while another echoed, "Joe alwyn what are you doing there."
Meanwhile, some jokingly suggested it was Matty Healy.
In the summer of 2023, Taylor had a short-lived romance with Matty Healy, the lead singer of The 1975. Many songs of her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, are speculated to be about Matty. Naturally, many Swifties joked about the figure being him.
One person on X wrote, "Its matty healy actually."
"Definitely Matt Healy!" another agreed.
Yet another fan commented, "dude looks like….The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived," which also referenced Matty, as Swift's song of the same name is widely thought to be about him.
Then again, perhaps the mystery man is Kanye West.
Taylor and Kanye West have a long history of feuding, starting with the rapper infamously interrupting her at the 2009 MTV VMAs. Could the shadowy figure be Ye? Some fans joked it might have been.
"It’s Kanye West," one person wrote, while another agreed, commenting, "It was Kanye."
Another X user shared, "I wouldnt be surprised if this was Kanye."
Or, perhaps the shadow figure is another nemesis of Taylor.
Other celebrities have had public beef with Taylor through the years, perhaps most famously Scooter Braun, the record executive who bought the master recordings of her albums without her having the opportunity to purchase them.
One X user pointed out, "scooter still harassing her i see."
Another commented, "Nicki Minaj is so weird for that."
