Sisters Kim and Khloé Kardashian traveled to India to attend the multimillion dollar wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. To say that they dressed for the occasion is an understatement. Our ladies of reality TV wore multiple stunning outfits, including bejeweled lehengas—traditional formal Indian three-piece ensembles.

The wedding took place on July 12, but it was a multiday kind of celebration, which called for multiple outfit changes. The wedding ceremony reportedly cost somewhere around $600 million and is the culmination of lavish events leading up to the nuptials that started in March. Take a look at what Kim and Khloé chose to wear for what might be one of the most luxurious weddings ever.
Kim wore red, while Khloé wore a champagne look.
"Kim and Khloé take India . I can’t believe I get to have this experience with my sister!!!" Khloé captioned a series of photos she posted on Instagram. "The best memories with my bestie.”
Some criticized Kim for her color choice.
"In Indian culture, the woman is the one who is leaving her house and going to the man's house to be with his family," designer and cofounder of Sani Niki Shamdasani told Brides.
"It's a far bigger change for the woman than the man, so it is appropriate that she be the one commanding the most attention and wearing a bold color like red that symbolizes new life."
Khloé looked like a tall glass of expensive bubbly.
While Khloé’s color choice, which was a gold and cream combo, might not have been a good choice at a wedding in the US as it is too close to white and might upstage the bride, didn’t raise eyebrows the way that Kim’s did.

"You guys, I just can't even. All these diamonds, this Lorraine Schwartz, like, craziness," Khloé shared via her Instagram Stories. Seriously, get a load of all those rocks she wore. You almost need sunglasses, they are so dazzling.
On the second day, the sisters opted for champagne and hot pink.
On Saturday, Kim was the one wearing a champagne-colored look while Khloé donned a bright pink elaborately bejeweled lehenga. Kim looked like she was having some difficulty moving around in some of the video footage taken, but Khloé seemed perfectly comfortable.

Kim shared a carousel to show off the many, many embellishments featured on her golden ensemble. Everywhere you look, there is something incredibly ornate. Kim’s jewelry is equally awe-inspiring.
Kim opted for red again.
On Sunday, Kim was seem wearing a more modern take on a lehenga. This time around she wore a red satin look and paired it with Lorraine Schwartz emeralds. She was giving full on Disney princess vibes.
Although she got lots of compliments from fans on the look, there are always detractors. “She 100% looks like she's out of place, cosplaying,” wrote one person who just didn’t think fit in.
But Kim's not really trying to fit in, now is she?
The sisters didn’t wear Indian clothing the whole time.
Khloé posted some photos where she and her sis are wearing clothes they might wear at home in California. Kim wore a white two-piece number that looks like it could be from her own Skims line and Khloé wore a deep tan column dress.
The duo also donned other bodycon dresses while in India. Khloé wore a long one-shoulder white dress. She looked lovely with her hair up and adorned with flowers. Meanwhile, Kim wore a bright tomato red clingy dress and also had her hair up and adorned with flowers.
About the bride and groom.
The couple that tied the knot are Anant Ambani, the youngest son of India’s richest man, and Radhika Merchant, the daughter of pharmaceutical bigwigs. They have known each other since childhood.
Things took a romantic turn for them in 2017 while they were out on a drive with friends. They went public with their relationship in 2018 and got engaged in December 2023.
Kim and Khloé were not the only celebrities at the wedding.
Priyanka Chopra was there with husband Nick Jonas. She captioned an Instagram carousel featuring the wedding with the following words:
"Clearly I missed chaat and dancing at baraats! What a special night it was celebrating two of the kindest, most gracious people I know. #Anant and @radhmerch1610 may God always protect your union. ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्ति ❤️ "
John Cena was there, too.
