The Kardashian-Jenner family is known for flaunting their wealth on social media and in real life. Recently, fans called out Kim Kardashian for listing a discolored and “dirty” Hermès purse for $70,000 on the family’s resale website.

Recently, Kim listed an Hermès purse for $70,000.
On the Kar-Jenner’s resale site, Kardashian Kloset, an Hermès Birkin 30 bag “from Kim's coveted collection” is listed for $69,995. The purse is in “good condition.” However, the description notes “some discoloration on handles and underside bottom corners, and minor scratching on metal.”
Reddit users are confused by the price tag.
Folks sounded off about the Hermès Birkin bag’s price on Reddit.
“70 k for a dirty bag, holy hell!” one person wrote.
Another Reddit user wondered, “This is so embarrassing. Why don’t they get it restored by H before selling it?”
Yet another person commented: “The nerve to list at that price with all of the discolouration in the handles and wear & tear on the bottom and lower corners…. sKam artists.”
Others wondered why the Kardashians needed to sell their secondhand luxury-brand items.
The resounding sentiment in the Reddit thread was: If the Kardashians are so rich, why do they even need to sell their stuff on Kardashian Kloset?
One person commented: “Seriously how desperate are they for money? And why does no one find it strange that these ‘billionaires’ are selling their second hand clothes? ”
Someone else pointed out: “Why don't they get it restored , sell it, and then DONATE ALL THE PROCEEDS TO CHARITY !!!??! Actually, the entire Kloset thing is embarrassing really. Any and all proceeds from it should be going to charity in their entirety. I swear, the Kartrashians-Jenners are the greediest, most selfish people there are. They don't do nearly enough in way of philanthropy. It's disgusting tbh.”
Kim has listed other expensive handbags, too.
This isn’t the first time Kim listed one of her purses on Kardashian Kloset for five figures. In early February, she put up a peacock blue Porosus Crocodile Birkin for sale, Page Six reported. The price tag: $49,995.
She still has plenty of pricier bags in her collection.
In July 2023, Kim was spotted carrying an Hermès Himalaya Niloticus Crocodile Diamond Birkin handbag. It’s worth more than $100,000, per People. And in December 2023, The Kardashians star was photographed with a massively oversized gray Hermès Haut à Courroies bag priced at $110,000, according to Marie Claire.
Kim recently showed off her closet filled with luxury purses.
In January 2023, Kim offered a glimpse at her extensive bag collection. “Balenciaga #closetcampaign,” she captioned an Instagram post featuring two shots of her posing with her purses. Now we know the mom of four has (at least) one closet dedicated entirely to displaying rows upon rows of handbags worth more than most people’s houses.
