A preview of 'The Kardashians' season 3, episode 3 teased that Kim might be dating a new man.
On June 1, 2023, Hulu dropped a teaser for season three, episode three of The Kardashians. The clip shows Kim telling Scott Disick, "My friends wanted me to meet someone." Scott replies, "Let's call this guy 'Fred.' Does he meet the standards?" Kim affirms, telling him, "So meets the standards."
Kim was also caught texting her potential new beau, 'Fred.'
Also shown in the teaser video was a shot of Kim texting during a confessional. A producer asked her, "Is that Fred?" and she confirmed, "Yup." The producer then responded, "Two years, my a**!" hinting that Kim had originally sworn off dating for a while after breaking up with Pete.
Who is 'Fred'? Fans have theories about who Kim's mystery man might be.
Kar-Jenner fans took to Reddit to share their reactions to the teaser, along with their guesses about who "Fred" might be. A few people joked that it could be Nick Cannon (which, to be fair, they did date between 2006 and 2007) or Tristan Thompson.
One person was convinced Fred isn't real. "No one. It's just a fake text for the effing show," they wrote.
Another person commented, "Wouldn’t it be funny if it was just a regular guy named Fred?" Yes, it would be.
Someone else pointed out that season three was filmed quite a while ago, and Kim is likely still single today. "And from 8-10 months ago. Whatever it was never officially got off the ground and is over," he commented.
Kim was recently rumored to have been talking to Tom Brady.
In May 2023, Kim was spotted driving a golf cart at Baker’s Bay Golf & Ocean Club in the Bahamas—where Tom Brady also owns a property. The pair had reportedly been talking because Kim wants to purchase a property there, Entertainment Tonight reported. A source told Page Six that Kim and Tom Brady are "friendly" after she called asking him for advice, clarifying there is "no romance" between them.
Kim is confident that she'll one day find her person.
On the season three premiere of The Kardashians, Kim addressed her breakup with Pete. "OK, I'm single," she declared. "I'm single and I'm not ready to mingle, and that's OK."
Kim went on to share more about her outlook on dating again in the future.
"I go back and forth in my feelings sometimes like, 'Uh, who's ever going to want to date me? I have four kids, I'm in my 40s, you know? Like, oh my God, who's going to want to deal with the drams?'" she said. "But my person will be like, 'F**k all of that, it's gonna be hard but we're together and we're gonna do this.' So I'm just waiting for that person."
Hopefully, Kim does eventually find her person!
