Is it tacky to give someone a late baby shower gift? I don’t think so—late is better than never—and neither does Khloé Kardashian, who recently revealed in an interview that she gave her newest nephew, Rocky Thirteen Barker, a late baby shower gift. Rocky, Kourtney and husband Travis Barker's first child together, was born on November 1.

In September the couple had an epic Disneyland-themed baby shower and unfortunately Khloé’s gift for them and their baby didn’t arrive in time. Not only did Khloé’s gift arrive late, “it’s ridiculous” and ridiculously expensive. It might not even be something the baby can use. So, what did she get the baby and why did she get it if it might not even be something the baby can use? Read on to find out.
She got the baby a vintage Hermès rocking horse!
We don’t have a picture of the actual rocking horse that Khloé bought, but this one was listed on the 1st Dibs website for $5,566. WHAT?! That is a heck of a lot of money for a rocking horse that might not even be usable.
The reason that the gift was late was out of Khloé’s control.
"It was a late baby shower gift, it was stuck in customs for so long. But I got her this really cute vintage Hermès wooden rocking horse," Khloé shared on a phone interview with Today.com.
Why not just get an overpriced rocking horse in the US instead?
"It's really old school, but it's so her. I think it's more of a decor piece for the room, I don't really think it's something that you use … it's ridiculous, but I know it's something that she loves."
Khloé doesn’t just spend a lot of money on presents, she tries to be very intentional about it.
"I love giving gifts and I try to give gifts [that are] really individual and specific to each person, which I think is how you should shop," she also said in the interview. Let’s hope that Kourtney really loved the rocking horse.
