The Good American founder’s two most prominent relationships were destroyed by infidelity. First, cheating rumors about her then-husband Lamar Odom plagued their marriage in 2013. His unfaithfulness and drug addiction ultimately led to their 2016 divorce. Next, Tristan Thompson—her ex-boyfriend the father of her two children, True and Tatum—was involved in multiple cheating scandals. The final incident resulted in his fathering a child with another woman. Khloé and Tristan broke up for good in 2021.

On the January 22 episode of her new podcast, Khloé in Wonderland, the 40-year-old opened up about her cheating exes.

“I know what was done to me was not about me,” Khloé told her guest, Jay Shetty. “I know that was about them, and they have past trauma that they’ve never healed from.”

Instead, their actions were a reflection of their own issues.

During the conversation, Khloé shared that she asked her exes why they cheated. Their reasons made it clear it was a “them” problem.

She said they would tell her, “‘Oh, my parents or I came from a broken house.’ It’s always something like that. It’s never about the immediate relationship.”

Khloé detailed, “If you’re strong enough to say, ‘OK that isn’t my journey.’ That was for them to experience. But it was me to learn and to see these signs that I don’t want in my next partner. That, I think, was part of my journey.”

Khloé still acknowledged the cheating scandals were a difficult time.

Just because she emerged on the other side of her exes’ cheating scandals with a positive outlook doesn’t mean the experiences weren’t difficult.

“For me, it was so much of my faith,” Khloé explained, of what helped her through those dark times.

She added, “I think if it wasn’t for my family, so my core circle and also my relationship with God … I just learned it wasn’t about me.”

On ‘The Kardashians,’ she let her more raw, immediate feelings show.

The Kardashians viewers saw Khloé and her family’s reactions to learning—at the same time as the general public—that Tristan fathered a son, Theo, with Maralee Nichols while dating Khloé.

“A courtesy would be not doing it,” she said, per The Cut. “But fine, if you do it, you’re not even gonna give me a f—ing heads-up before the rest of the world? It’s an additional slap in my face. It’s humiliating, I’m embarrassed.”

“Everything is an act of betrayal,” Khloé later added. “Did Tristan have every opportunity to tell me? Yes. Was Tristan going to tell me if there wasn’t a baby involved? Absolutely not.”

Right now, dating is not a priority.

“I’m not dating because my relationship with my kids just is everything to me,” Khloé told Jay on her podcast. “I feel so fulfilled.”

She continued, “And I also love that I’ve taken about three years off of dating. And I feel like I’ve really got to know myself on a deeper level.”
