The life of a celebrity may seem glamorous and perfect on the outside, but there are definitely drawbacks to fame — including a lack of privacy. Unfortunately, A-listers are often hounded by paparazzi and subjected to unsolicited commentary regarding their bodies. For female celebs, this includes pregnancy speculation at every hint of bloating or possible weight gain. And in summer 2023, Hailey Bieber was the subject of rampant pregnancy rumors.

As a refresher, Hailey is married to pop star Justin Bieber. They knew each other for a decade before getting engaged in July 2018, and tying the knot on September 13, 2018. Through the years of their marriage, Hailey has addressed pregnancy rumors multiple times.
The latest round of speculation began in July/August 2023 in response to paparazzi photos revealing what some folks claim to be a baby bump. But is Hailey expecting? Let's take a closer look at the pregnancy rumors.
Hailey Bieber pregnancy rumors started again in July 2023.
On July 18, Hailey and Justin were spotted at a Drake concert in New York. A photo of Hailey standing with both hands resting on her belly prompted fans to wonder if she was either "hiding" a bump, or signaling that there would soon be a bump.
One person commented: "Is she preggers? Looks like."
Another Instagram user was skeptical, writing, "Me when I eat in Burger King."
Soon, more photos surfaced of Hailey with her hands on her belly.
Around the same time, a slew of other paparazzi photos showing Hailey with her hands placed on her belly surfaced — doing nothing to quell the speculation.
Hailey was photographed wearing a white minidress while out with her friend, Lori Harvey. As The U.S. Sun pointed out, the model again placed her hands on her belly in the form-fitting look — and notably did so after passing a baby stroller.
Another public sighting involved Justin, Hailey, and friends walking together when someone shouted, "I know you're pregnant." A video clip showed Hailey not responding aside from smiling.
The pregnancy speculation has persisted into August.
The pregnancy rumors didn't let up by the following month. On August 1, Hailey was photographed wearing a tight black dress while out for dinner at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, California, The U.S. Sun reported. Her hand was once again resting on her belly as she walked into the building.
Is Hailey Bieber pregnant?
As of writing, neither Hailey nor Justin have confirmed or denied a pregnancy. It could be that the rumors are unfounded and they're refusing to entertain the speculation. Or, if they are expecting, they might be waiting until they're ready to officially announce the news. Either way, fans will have to wait to know for sure.
Hailey shut down rumors in 2022.
This isn't the first time something like this has happened. At the 2022 Grammy Awards, the loose fit of Hailey's dress prompted pregnancy rumors online — to the point where she set the record straight. "I'm not pregnant leave me alone," she commented on a RadarOnline Instagram post.
Both Justin and Hailey have said they do want kids one day.
Current pregnancy rumors aside, both Hailey and Justin have expressed a desire to one day have children.
"Hailey still has some things she wants to accomplish as a woman," Justin told Ellen DeGeneres in December 2020. "I think she just is not ready yet, and I think that's OK. … I'm going to have as many as Hailey is willing to push out. I’d love to have myself a little tribe. It's her body and whatever she wants to do.”
In January 2022, Hailey told WSJ Magazine that she wasn't in a hurry to have a baby.
"There’s this thing that happens for women when you get married. Everybody always assumes it’s: First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes the baby. Well, what about all the things I want to accomplish in my business?" she said. "I think I had it ingrained in my head that I was going to want to have kids right away and I was going to want to have kids super, super young. Then I turned 25 and I’m like, 'I’m still super, super young!'"
