Call me a hypocrite because I say I don’t like gossip, but then I totally want to gossip about gossip. It’s just that sometimes I literally cannot believe the gossip I come across. Case in point: It has been reported by RadarOnline that a “jilted Jennifer Lopez is taking revenge on Ben Affleck where it hurts—his wallet” and I just cannot! I’m so not buying it.

I mean they are quoting some blabbermouth and I am beside myself because it seems that anyone can say anything about these two and be considered a credible source. Nuh-uh. I genuinely don’t think this ish is true because it’s absolutely ridiculous. If I’m wrong and this chisme is true, well, I guess I will owe you a retraction, but until then, here’s what the rumor mill is churning out and it's the kind of stuff you don't want to step in.
Let’s begin by considering the source, shall we?
This "scoop" that J.Lo is going after Ben’s wallet comes from RadarOnline, which according to Media Bias/Fact Check is a “questionable source” because of the “promotion of unproven claims and numerous failed fact checks.”
I bring this up because it's always important to consider the source. RadarOnline is not a credible source. Do not go to sites like that looking for hard-hitting facts. It is an entertainment and gossip website. OK, now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, let’s move on to the chisme they’ve dished.
There are tons of rumors floating about that Bennifer 2.0 is in trouble.
Jennifer and Ben are set to celebrate their second wedding anniversary on July 16 of this year, but report after report keeps coming out that their marriage is in trouble. One of the latest additions is from RadarOnline.
“One of the little-known secrets is Jennifer paid for much of their marital expenses and now she feels he owes her,” the tabloid’s source is quoted as saying. “She’s adding up all those private jet bills she puts on her plastic, the hotels and meals, clothes, coffee runs, gas. The high cost of living was done on her dime. She paid the lion’s share for that $60 million mansion they bought, too.”
“Ben took so much money out of her, at least that’s what she’s saying,” the supposed source said. Again, I’m not buying it. Jennifer has plenty of money and so does Ben. Also, they haven’t even filed for divorce, but Jen is going to bust out a calculator and receipts to get reimbursed?
I’m calling BS on this report.
It’s silly and petty and neither Jen or Ben strike me as silly or petty people. Can we puh-leaze just stop with this incessant speculation about these two? I refuse to believe they are over until they tell us they are over.
