Gina Rodriguez welcomes 1st baby with husband Joe LoCicero; see her first photos as a mom

There’s a new mamá Latina in Hollywood: Gina Rodriguez! The Jane the Virgin star and her MMA fighter hubby, Joe LoCicero, have welcomed their first child together. The news got out after Gina was seen and photographed taking a casual stroll on Saturday with her newborn in Los Angeles. The new parents hadn’t even officially announced the birth of their baby yet when the pics were snapped.

Gina and Joe haven’t shared exactly when the baby was born yet, but it was probably a few weeks ago because on January 25 Gina shared a social media post and wrote that she was “40 plus weeks” pregnant. That’s probably why the baby doesn't look teeny-tiny in the following pictures. Check them out and find out if it’s a girl or a boy!

Gina was wearing a black T-shirt, black sweats, and Nike sneakers. Her baby was snug in a baby carrier while wearing a onesie and matching baseball cap. At times, the baby was also covered in a lightweight blanket.

It’s a boy!

Once the pictures of mama and baby got out, Gina’s agent confirmed that the couple had indeed welcomed their firstborn: a baby boy! So exciting! Gina looks like she’s doing well. Going on a walk with her baby is a great way to bond and exercise.

Gina went public with her pregnancy on her 38th birthday.

The couple shared the news that they were expecting their first child together back on July 30, 2022, which was Gina’s birthday. The announcement was shared via a sweet video on Instagram, which she captioned: “This birthday hits different.”

The couple has been married since 2019.

They first met on the set of Jane the Virgin in 2016. By August 2018, the couple was engaged. Then on May 4, 2019, they said “I do” in front of their loved ones. The ceremony was officiated by Gina’s Jane the Virgin costar, Justin Baldoni.

Congratulations to Gina and Joe!
